While a certain amount of skill is necessary to enjoy the game, golf is a great social sport. It is a good walk with friends on beautiful open land. Almost anywhere you travel you will find a golf course in a unique setting, presenting its own challenge. And golf really is a sport for a lifetime; you can have as much fun playing it when you’re ten, as you will when you’re 80.

At SACS Junior, boys in Grades 5 to 7 are encouraged to play this wonderful sport. Aspiring golfers are taken each Monday and Tuesday to the driving range where they are taken through the basics of short and long games by experienced staff. The boys are not under pressure to perform and the emphasis is on enjoying the game and practising their skills.

Regular golfers compete for the annual SACS Golf Championship which takes place in the fourth term.
