Our Outreach Programme at SACS is an ongoing activity which is an integral part of our school programme. It helps the boys to develop a social conscience and to make a difference in the lives of others.

Our programme is varied and supports a variety of charities. Our biggest activities are:

 Our sandwich collection supports the Christian David Moravian School in Steenberg.

Bread for the Body and Soup for the Soul  is an annual collection of dry soup ingredients and loaves of bread. This is distributed to various charities and in excess of 800 people are fed annually by this collection.

Our elderly citizens are treated to a Seniors’ Tea or a hamper. Residents from various old age homes across the Cape Flats are invited to attend an afternoon of entertainment and treats. The boys delight in the company of the elderly and this provides a much-needed outing for the seniors.

Our outreach extends beyond the boundaries of Cape Town. Our rural outreach includes areas such as Suurbraak and Barrydale where the rural schools are recipients of our uniforms, books and items of stationery.

The termly civvies money is donated to various charities nominated by the committee.
